THE DEATH OF AMELIE POULAIN
Württembergischer Kunstverein, Stuttgart
The object here is the metal lid of a cookie tin, which has been mine since 2007. The box, I’ve never seen it. You probably recognize this portrait. In my opinion, the portrait here, on this box is slowly merging with the object, so it’s not quite Amélie Poulain anymore, but rather a new object, as Amélie Poulain fades away from our memories. It slowly becomes something else. An object that does not exist, which is like a doll, and here the doll is made up like Mickael Jackson (...).
